Bhaktapur  

 

Bhaktapur , also called Bhadgaon or Khwopa. is a rich Newari ciry in the east of Kathmandu valley. It is the third biggest city  of the valley. It was once during the age of the Malla Kingdom the capital of Nepal. Bhaktapur is known for its conservation of its legandary culture and indigenous lifestyle. The city is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site which it owes to the rich culture, tempels, wood, metal and stone artefacts. Many travellers visit this city during there stay in Nepal. The city is a mere 11km west of Sankhu. And can be reached by bus, taxi and even by foot.
